Welcome to 2015

Hey y’all!!! It’s 2015! Is everyone else as excited as I am?? I have been looking forward to 2015 since the beginning of 2014. Ha! I knew that in 2015 I would introduce my new branding and with that new branding was coming a better business and life for myself and my family. Aren’t they just so cute??

When I started this business it was just for fun, something to do to get out of the house and not have to be at home 24/7. Not that I didn’t love my babies, because my love for them is the reason I do this. But to grow as a Mother and a person, I needed something to do that was just for me. I never imagined when I started Taken by Tate almost 6 years ago that it would be where it is today. There have been so many ups and downs, a lot of personal growth and realization, and a lot of growth in my photography as well. Six years later and I still love what I do.

I’ve known for some time that I needed to make some changes in my business. For one I knew I needed a blog. If you aren’t a photographer then you may not see the importance of a blog, but all photographers know that having a blog is pretty much a must these days. I wanted to blog, knew I needed to, but just didn’t have the time. So guess what, this year, I will have time. I want to blog your family’s pictures, your wedding day, and all of the precious moments in your life that I am blessed to be a part of. Photography is so much about a connection with your clients, and I am looking forward to sharing those connections with everyone.

I also am making a few changes when it comes to scheduling. This year I am cutting back on portrait sessions by half. This was a tough decision, but one that wasn’t made lightly. I prayed over this decision and sought counsel from trusted family and friends. I hold all of my clients so dear to my heart, but it’s time to have more than only one day off a week and more time for my family.

So, like in the past I will still be penciling in sessions for the year. Some of you have already contacted me and are already penciled in for your desired months. But this year I will only be penciling in 5 portrait sessions per month. This is going to not only benefit me, but also you as the client. There will be more available days to choose from when scheduling, if the session has to get rescheduled because someone is sick then it’s not so tough to reschedule (like it has been in the past), I’ll be able to focus more on customized sessions, and like mentioned above, I will be blogging your sessions. Scheduling for weddings, engagement sessions, classes, and group mini sessions will still be scheduled the same as years past. (so no worries to my mini session peeps, there will still be plenty of those available…maybe even more!)

With every new year comes new beginnings, new challenges, and lessons to be learned. I’m thankful for all that I have learned over the past 6 years and all of the wonderful people I have met and friends I have made in this business. Taken by Tate is what it is because of YOU. Thank you for loving me, encouraging me, and supporting me! I hope to see everyone in 2015!

If you are ready to get on the calendar for 2015, please inquire for the new packages. With limited available spots per month I think they may go quickly.
